It’s official. They’ve ‘amicably separated’, after 14 years and two kids. It’s a shame. I’ve always been a big fan of Johnny Depp. Great and versatile actor, and he successfully looked counterculture when in fact he was as mainstream and bankable as you can get.

I knew someone who was at one of Laineygossip’s Smut Soirees, and the tidbit delivered there was that he has a serious drinking problem. To hear that a colossal star has a drinking problem is always surprising – I always expect them to be able to acquire exclusive drugs that are ten times more awesome and not at all addicting. To be rich and famous should mean to get away with anything, including consequences from vice. But not even the demigods among us can do that.
